About the Eruv

Understanding Our Eruv

What is an Eruv?

An eruv is a symbolic boundary that allows observant Jews to carry objects and push strollers or wheelchairs on Shabbat within the enclosed area.

Weekly Inspection

The eruv is checked every Friday before Shabbat to ensure its integrity. Status is posted in our weekly email.

Always Verify

Never assume the eruv is kosher without verifying. Weather, construction, or other factors can affect its status.

Coverage Area

The eruv covers the downtown Fort Lauderdale area. See the map below for exact boundaries.
